During a 10-week on-site installation Hygienik drew upon more than 20 years of cladding expertise to transform the aging and dusty interior into a bright and modern hygienic environment that meets all the required EU and UK hygiene standards.
The most challenging part of the installation was to accurately thermo-form the bends in the panels to clad the huge triangular roof recesses which create a repeated pattern above the 1800 square metre floor area.
Each individual roof cavity is 15m long, 6m wide and 5m high. Cladding sheets were expertly bent to fit around the roof's horizontal steel beams and we also cladded the vertical steel supports.
Hygienik's Managing Director, Matt Papworth said “We are very proud of the finish achieved by our experienced installers. There are very few people in the UK or the world who are capable of such a bespoke project where every angle presents a new challenge.”
