Gate Gourmet prepare airline food for many of the world's major airlines. To ensure the food is as fresh as possible they prepare the food on-site within the UK's largest airports.
The Hygienik team was tasked with creating large foodsafe areas within existing expansive buildings located within Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester Airports.
Over 3,000 square metres of hygienic wall cladding was used to create new partition walls and ceilings. Personnel and access doors were added as required.
At Heathrow ducting was installed at the same time as the ceilings by the contractor. The Manchester photos show a screeded floor before safety flooring was added to create a foodsafe environment.
The main contractor was Aranbol.
