School kitchen refurb at Copthorne Primary
added Thu 14 Feb 2008
Hygienik has completed a comprehensive refurb of the extensive kitchen area at Copthorne Primary School in Bradford.
New H-panel floor-to-ceiling wall lining was used around the perimeter of the kitchen area, including recesses, window frames, splashbacks and around the serving counter.
Two adjoining store rooms were also completely lined and this has helped to transform the kitchen area and give it a more modern appearance.
"Copthorne is a good example of how we can replace tiled and plastered areas with cost-effective panels and it gives the whole kitchen area a clean and modern feel," says Matthew Papworth, Director of Hygienik.
"Many local authorities are improving school kitchens with funding from various Government PFI investment programmes and we are expanding the number of schools we work with throughout the UK."
In 2007, Hygienik completed a six school programme for Highlands Council who were carrying out a PPP programme throughout their area.
