Large-scale installation at Tulip

Hygienik part of a £multi-million refurbishment
Tulip Foods is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of fresh meat and they called in Hygienik Systems to supply and install new wall linings in several key areas of a 15,000
sq m plant.
Scrupulous hygiene is maintained throughout the plant
and the durability and easy-clean properties of Hygienik’s white 10mm H-Panel proved to be an ideal solution.
John Beaumont, Chief Engineer at Tulip Foods believes
the new wall systems bring significant benefits. “We were
previously using 30mm PIR food safe panels. This is the
first time we have used 10mm panels.”
“The advantages of the new panels are that they are
lightweight and durable. They are resistant to breakage
and bruising and they have a smooth, impermeable finish
which means cleaning them and maintaining the highest
standards of hygiene is easy.”
The Hygienik installation team fitted the first panels in a refrigeration area of the plant and additional areas were also scheduled in, including fresh meat intake, packaging and despatch.
The refurbishment programme, which includes a new floor
throughout, will create a state-of-the-art facility that consolidates Tulip’s position as one of the world’s leading names in food processing.
